- Connects to the Internet by either a High Speed or Dial up connection to the Internet.
- The QBox can be used as your Internal Email Server so your email never leaves your building. The Qbox can also
act as your Internet Email Server providing you communication with the outside work force.
- Users can gain access to their Internet email by POP3 (Post Office Protocol), IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) or SMTP
(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) with secure authentication.
- There are 2 backup mail relay servers.
- The QBox also acts as a secure firewall protecting your internal network from any intruders from the outside. This Firewall
feature can be customized to meet your remote needs as well.
- Caching Proxy
- Users can have Access Control via User Name and Password
- Can provide User Access log by User Name
- There is improved performance due to the Caching of sites and information.
- The QBox can act as your DNS and DHCP server
- The mail Queue backup feature, which allows you to back up the mail to a local workstation.
- The QBox is equipped with intrusion detection and provides the following information:
- Failed Login Attempts
- TripWire - notifies QwicNet if the system is compromised
- Scan Reports in which there are excessive port scans.
- Not only is the QBox equipped with intrusion detection but also will filter out the spam mail from legitimate email and place it
separate folder or delete the spam mail.
- The QBox works with any client piece i.e. Outlook, Eudora, Mozilla, Operah etc.
